Clinical Psychology Department daily activities
Clinical Psychologists meet with clients/patients to identify problems - emotional, behavioral and mental challenges in their lives; through observations, clinical interviews and administration of psychometric tests. The Psychologist will diagnose any existing or potential disorders and then together with the client/patient, they formulate a programme of treatment according to the clients/patients needs.
The Clinical Psychologists monitor the clients/patients progress on a regular basis to ensure that their needs are met by the course of action, and to adjust it if necessary.
Our professional role – functions – services include;-
- To identify psychological, emotional and behavioral issues.
- Diagnose psychological, emotional and behavioral disorders.
- Develop and Implement treatment plans and therapeutic processes.
- Help clients define goals and plan action to achieve personal, social, educational and vocational development and adjustment.
- Monitor client/patient progress through regular sessions.
- Conduct Research.
- Teach Students on Internship and clinical postings.
